The first two Transition Hythe courses have now been announced.
Gillian Bond’s first vertical gardening course will be on Saturday 12th May at the central Hythe garden of one of our members (details when you register). This ‘hands-on’ workshop will look at:
- Why vertical gardening is sustainable
- Which plants do well
- How to assemble and install a vertical garden
- Watering, feeding and pest control
- How working height gardens help the less able.
Also on Saturday 12th May, Jo Letchford is running a mosaic class, with three places for Transition Hythe members, at her studio in Folkestone. The day includes lunch and all materials. Jo’s creations are beautiful and this should be a fun day. Visit www.joletchfordmosaics.co.uk to be inspired!
More details about of these are under events.
Also on the way is Della Newman’s spinning and felt-making course: we are just waiting to finalise venue and date (some time in May). Watch this space.
