Film showing: Demain

Hosted by our good friends, Sustainability Connections, Demain was winner of Best Documentary at the Cesar Awards (the French Oscars) and is distributed in the UK by the Transition Network. Showing solutions, telling a feel-good story… this may be the best way to solve today’s ecological, economic and social crises. After a special briefing for the journal Nature announced the possible extinction of part of mankind before the end of the 21st century, Cyril Dion and Mélanie Laurent carried out an investigation in ten different countries to figure out how to avoid disaster. During their journey, they met the pioneers who are re-inventing agriculture, energy, economy, democracy and education to make tomorrow’s world.

There will be a post-film discussion, led by Folkestone Sustainability Connections. The screening is on Wednesday 10th May, 7pm at The Quarterhouse, Tontine Street, Folkestone. Tickets are £5 (concessions £4).
